Converting Illuminance back to Luminous Flux
To find the total light flux in lumens ($lm$) required to achieve a target surface illuminance in lux ($lx$), multiply target lux by the coverage area in square meters:
$$\Phi_{lm} = E_{lx} \times A_{m^2}$$
Where $A$ is surface area in square meters. If the area is in square feet, it must be multiplied by $0.092903$ to convert to square meters first.
