What is the Root Calculator?

The Universal Root Calculator is an advanced algebra tool capable of extracting the square root, cube root, or any "nth" root of a number. It reverses complex exponents to find their fundamental base number.

How It Works (Formula)

Taking the "nth root" of a number is mathematically identical to raising that number to the power of a fraction ($1/n$). For instance, taking the cube root of 27 is the same as raising 27 to the power of one-third.

$$ \sqrt[n]{x} = x^{\frac{1}{n}} $$

The fractional exponent identity used to evaluate general roots.

How to Use It

First, specify the degree of the root (e.g., 2 for Square, 3 for Cube, 4 for Fourth Root). Next, enter the number you want to evaluate (the radicand). The calculator will instantly process the fractional exponentiation.
