How It Works (Formula)
A standard GPA is calculated as a weighted mean. Every letter grade is assigned a numerical value (e.g., A = 4.0, B = 3.0). The calculator multiplies this value by the number of "credits" the class is worth, sums them all up, and divides by the total credits attempted.
