What is a Voltage Divider?
A voltage divider is a simple linear circuit that produces an output voltage (Vout) that is a fraction of its input voltage (Vin). It is commonly used in sensor reading and signal processing by using two resistors in series.
$$ V_{out} = V_{in} \times \frac{R_2}{R_1 + R_2} $$
The output voltage depends on the ratio of the second resistor to the total series resistance.
