What is the Time Card Calculator?
The Time Card Calculator is a vital payroll tool for hourly employees, freelancers, and HR managers. It tracks weekly "clock-in" and "clock-out" times, automatically deducting unpaid lunch breaks, to compute total billable hours and gross pay.
How It Works (Algorithm)
The tool converts all standard 12-hour AM/PM times into a continuous 24-hour decimal format. It subtracts the Clock-In time from the Clock-Out time, subtracts the duration of the lunch break, and multiplies the final decimal hours by the hourly wage.

How to Use It
For each day of the workweek, enter your exact start time, end time, and the number of minutes you took for an unpaid break. Enter your hourly wage at the bottom. The calculator will output your total hours worked and your expected gross paycheck.
